Randpark Golf Club donates R80 000 to charity
RANDPARK – Randpark Golf Club made a generous donation to four local charities.
The golf greens of Northern Johannesburg saw the handover of a generous donation by the Randpark Golf Club to four local charities.
The recipients were Villa of Hope, Touch of Care, Operation Smile and the Randburg SPCA. The handover took place on the overcast morning of Friday 22 March at the Randpark Golf Club. The various charity organisations were thrilled to be receiving this donation and appealed to the general republic for more donations in order to continue with the work that they do.
The Villa of Hope is a child and youth care centre which focuses on the provision of superior care to children who have been orphaned or require alternative care due to abuse, neglect, abandonment and children that are affected or infected by HIV and Aids or other ill circumstances.

Touch of Care offers home-based health care to approximately 300 homes in the south of Johannesburg and also takes care of children orphaned by HIV/Aids. Anita Jacobs from Touch of Care wishes to thank FNB (as they are one of their early childhood development beneficiaries) and Randpark Golf Club for their generous fundraiser.

“We appreciate your support to Touch of Care and it’s especially gratifying to know that you share our commitment to helping children in need. Supporters like you are the reason we are able to help children overcome the tragedies and difficulties they’ve experienced.”

Operation Smile was not available for comment at the event, however on 29 March, Randpark Club will be hosting a Charity Gala Dinner in aid of Operation Smile SA ‘changing lives one smile at a time’.

The Randburg SPCA, based in Northriding, focuses on a number of initiatives centred on animal care. The Randburg SPCA’s primary and motivating concern is the prevention of cruelty to all living creatures.
All the charities were thrilled with the donations.
