Upcoming portrait artist with a gift

WINDSOR – Local up-and-coming artist Samuel Sibafuzi Sikaneta puts his feelings in his drawings.

An up-and-coming Windsor West artist is looking forward to achieving more with his paintings and drawings while also giving back to the community.

Samuel Sibafuzi Sikaneta grew up under his mother’s guardianship from a young age and said that this is where he started to develop his ability as a portrait artist.

He added that during his high school years he was involved in debates and also had a passion to play tennis, however, only after he realised that he is an artist did he put more focus into his drawings.

“Drawing is a gift that I have acquired throughout my life and I always wanted to be like the late Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh,” he said.

Samuel charges according to the size of the drawing either on paper or wall. The price rates are R21 and above for A5 and R50 and above for A4. The price is doubled when colour is included.
