Newton House College is excited to be bringing the spirit of Christmas during the cold of winter to the Boskruin community as they host their ‘Christmas in July’ market on 27 July.
Once a term, the school organises an event aimed at fundraising for a particular cause.
Last year and this year, the money was raised for the school’s ‘debs and squires’ initiative, where proceeds went to the school’s care fund.
The care fund is there to help support children at the school whose parents may be going through a difficult financial time.
The school’s Aimee Baxter said, “We invite all to come taste the world and enjoy the culinary delights of Portugal, India and Mexico. Those who fancy a cup of tea or coffee can join us in the tea garden and rest your weary feet or grab a gourmet coffee from the Mobile Coffee stall.”
The school promises sweet tooth fans hot doughnuts, candyfloss, sweets and home baked delights. Fans of the savoury have the chance to try the pickles, preserves, biltong and infused salts on offer.
To keep the children entertained there will be inflatable games and plenty of toys, both educational and fun, for sale.
Treat your partner to a beautiful handcrafted piece of jewellery or buy something special for the garden or home.
