Honeydew police praise Echo Squad arrests

HONEYDEW – The management of the Honeydew Police Station is praising the efforts of their officers for a large number of arrests in the past month.

The management of the Honeydew Police Station is praising the efforts of their officers for a large number of arrests in the past month.

Spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan said that the station’s Echo Squad has been working tirelessly during the Covid-19 period.

Recently in some highlights, the officers arrested three suspects for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, three suspects for theft, two suspects for possession of stolen electricity cables, and two suspects for drug dealing.

On 27 July, members of the squad received a tip-off about a possible robbery about to happen at a popular Cosmo City supermarket.”Our members attended to the scene quickly and searched three suspects. They were arrested and we recovered one plastic imitation firearm,” said Muthan.

The three suspects were taken into custody under suspicion of an attempt to commit a robbery.

“Our Echo Squad is going out on a limb to ensure that all cases provided to them are followed up on, and they work 24/7. Our station’s management salutes them,” said Muthan.
