Two injured in a collision in North Riding
NORTH RIDING – Emer-G-Med transported the two patients with moderate injuries to the nearest hospital.
Emer-G-Med responded to a collision on the corner of Malibongwe Drive and Olievenhout Avenue in North Riding.
Caitlin Kruger, a team member from Emer-G-Med confirmed that there were three vehicles involved in the collision on 17 August. Two vehicles, including a truck, had to brake quickly to make way for a taxi that “jumped” on the road. “The taxi was initially stationary on a pavement, so the vehicle at the front had to force brake to make way for the taxi but the truck driver behind that vehicle did not notice on time so he, unfortunately, hit the vehicle,” said Kruger.
“On arrival, we treated and transported two patients with mild injuries to a nearby facility for further care.”
