NOTICE: Massive water outage in North Riding

NORTH RIDING – Joburg Water technicians are currently on-site excavating the land where the pipe is. They have noted a slope which makes excavation very difficult.


Joburg Water alerts residents that they are aware of a massive water outage in North Riding.

Water has been cut off in the area for more than 24 hours due to an emergency burst pipe on 16 August. The affected complexes are Blandford Manor, Holly Oaks, North Riding Gardens and Saint Cloud Estate.

Joburg Water has said that technicians are currently on-site excavating the land where the pipe is. They have noted a slope which makes excavation very difficult.

There is currently no estimated restoration time (ERT). Residents are encouraged to visit Joburg Water’s website, www.johannesburgwater.co.za and select the SMS notification services for alerts on planned and unplanned services.
