The academy's Lorraine Lee said that she and her husband, 9th Dan WTF black belt and 1st class international referee grandmaster, Eun Woo Lee are excited to be receiving their scholars once again and looks forward to hosting long-awaited tournaments.
After a five-month break due to the Covid-19 lockdown, Bromhof’s KJD Martial Arts Academy is once again opening its doors to the world of taekwondo enthusiasts.
The academy’s Lorraine Lee said that she and her husband, 9th Dan WTF black belt and 1st class international referee grandmaster, Eun Woo Lee are excited to be receiving their scholars once again and looks forward to hosting long-awaited tournaments.
“When we had to close for the past few months, times were very tough for us. But, now that we are open again, it is time to exercise, lose lockdown weight and get a cardio workout,” she said.
“At KJD, we do not only teach the physical body but the spiritual one as well. We accept adults and children from 4 years old upwards, with the adult classes separate.”
Lee elaborated on some of the benefits of taking up the martial art at an early age saying, “We have also taught many children with ADHD and other physical and mental problems and we have assisted these children in learning how to concentrate, how to respect their families and teachers and how to grow their self-confidence and be able to communicate with others.
“We also teach them physical motor co-ordination and how to express themselves verbally. We accept children from four years old upwards and cater to all ages.”
