Covid-19: Almost 700 000 positive cases reported
1 575 new cases have been confirmed since the last report, with 107 new deaths being reported - 58 from the Eastern Cape, 38 from the Free State, 4 from KwaZulu Natal, 6 from Gauteng, and 1 from the Western Cape.

With residents of South Africa enjoying a relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown regualtions during level-1, the number of cases is continuing to rise steadily.
1 575 new cases have been confirmed since the last report, bringing the total to 692 471with 107 new deaths being reported – 58 from the Eastern Cape, 38 from the Free State, 4 from KwaZulu Natal, 6 from Gauteng, and 1 from the Western Cape.
The Department of Health extended its condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
The total recoveries now stand at 623 765 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%
