Local thought leader recognised in top 200 women of influence on Twitter

Randburg resident Leandri Janse van Vuuren has cemented her spot on the list of top 200 most influential African women on Twitter.
The list, compiled by Smart Data Power and The Women in Africa, featured 58 women from South Africa. The top 200 of which Van Vuuren is listed at number 28, included the former Public Protector Professor Thuli Madonsela, media personality Pabi Moloi, and former Miss South Africa and entrepreneur Jo-ann Strauss.
Born in the Northern Cape, Janse van Vuuren has lived in Randburg for about 13 years. With more than 370 000 followers, sportswoman turned digital entrepreneur Janse van Vuuren has grown her following with authenticity, consistency and adding value. The managing director of her own social media agency, Social Media 101, more than proves that she certainly walks the walk.

On the topic of Twitter trolls, she expressed that anonymity on the Internet often resulted in nastiness on various social media platforms. Since Twitter had become notorious for its unexpected hostility, Van Vuuren advised Twitter users to ‘curate their feed’ and to not ‘feed the trolls’.
When Van Vuuren is not tweeting, she enjoys runs and mountain biking and getting stuck in on her latest work project.
