The suburb of Ferndale has been having water problems since 7 November. While Joburg Water has been attending to the matter, they apologise for the inconveniences caused and are still working tirelessly to investigate the cause of no water in the area.

The outage follows after Joburg Water repaired two major burst pipes along Pine Avenue and Pretoria Avenue on 7 and 9 November respectively.

In a joint ward councillors’ statement issued on 11 November, it was said the water network was somewhat complex with many inlets, valves and more complicated pressure control valves.
