We have strong relationships with the countries in the SADC [Southern African Development Community] region as well as Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, Courtiers in Asia, Americas and Europe.”
The RCCI was happy to be the strong supporter of information and encouragement to business during the Covid-19 period by ‘connecting members via virtual connectivity to others’. “[It is] the new way of conducting business despite the ever-increasing costs, loss of earnings, businesses closing, crime and corruption in our country.”
Blackbeard thanked the board of directors who served during this year who were committed and passionate experts in their field. “[They] willingly gave of themselves in the various areas of expertise to assist our members and business in general.”
The organisation is cautiously optimistic for next year and are working to focus on their business areas first and what they can do for these businesses. The organisation encouraged all to keep faith and believe in themselves, adding that the chamber was more dedicated to businesses more than ever.
“How can we assist the start-up as well as existing business who have all been badly bruised by the Covid period? We trust our members will find comfort in know that RCCI is focussed on working for them and we are forever trying to find a way to assist and facilitate opportunities for our businesses in and around Randburg. ‘Support local’ is our motto. Be open and transparent in all your dealings and remember the chamber is not just another name in Randburg. We are there to support and assist businesses and to be your lobby voice in all relevant business matters.”
The RCCI also extended its gratitude to local Caxton newspapers ‘for their continued support of the Chamber’. “Without them, many newsworthy matters could not be spread and shared with the readers. We thank you.”
