Sizanani Charity hosted their Autumn Passion Literature contest with schools in the Cosmo City and Diepsloot area at Cosmo City Multipurpose Centre on 15 May.

Contestants were invited to participate in public speaking, debating, storytelling, drama, and poetry to inspire the importance of education in the community.
Director of Sizanani Charity Jivesh Timmal said, “Sizanani has a passion for literacy and literature, and over the many initiatives that we run, it’s about time that we got the community involved. We are an NPO founded on the belief in togetherness and unity to make a change. We work with youth, women, children, animals and disabled persons. Every life matters, we believe in creating sustainable projects for every living being.”

The charity’s Asamkele Menzeleli added, “Contestants were able to submit anything they felt like from their inspiration, from happy tales of love to pressing issues affecting them personally.”
The charity engages in various community initiatives including school and community feeding projects, disaster aid, women empowerment, adult literacy and numeracy projects.
Winning entrants were given certificates of achievement after the event was completed.
