Pedestrian killed in three-vehicle collision
KYA SANDS – Netcare 911 medics accessed the pedestrian but, unfortunately, she showed no signs of life.
Netcare 911 medics attended to a three-vehicle collision on the corner of Malibongwe Drive and River Road, Kya Sands in Randburg at around 7:54pm on July 29.
On the scene, paramedics found a female pedestrian hit by a vehicle showing no signs of life. According to Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 communications officer, the driver of the vehicle that allegedly hit her, did try to avoid her but could not. “The second vehicle then hit the back of the first vehicle, then the third one tried to force brake. No injuries were reported to any of the drivers,” said Herbst.
The pedestrian was declared dead on the scene.
