Black belts are only the beginning for these martial artists

NORTH RIDING – Martial artists power their way to new levels in taekwondo.

Local taekwondo practitioners celebrated successful gradings recently.

Instructors of the MTG (Magua Taekwondo Group) situated in Fit 24 Gym in North Riding, were graded for high levels.

Tanya Magua and Richard Girvin graded to 5th dan black belt and Christoff Jacobs graded to 3rd dan.

“They all displayed an excellent knowledge of their syllabus requirements as well as the grit and determination required to pass such an exam,” explained 7th dan black belt, and head instructor, Norman Magua.

“The MTG club is very proud and happy to have our members and instructors moving up the higher ranks which not only benefits them but the students and club as a whole.”
