Community prepares for river clean-up

FERNDALE –Residents association and charity organisation team up for community day and river clean-up.


Residents are invited to a community day and river clean-up at the arboretum in Ferndale.

The Bryanfern Residents Association and Fourways Lions Club have partnered to host the event and collect donations for a good cause.

A security company will be on-site to keep everyone safe at the arboretum next to Cork Avenue on November 27 between 09:00 and 11:00.

Non-perishable food and groceries will be collected, including teabags, tinned food, mealie meal, powdered milk, packets of soup, sugar, rice, samp, coffee, soya mince, peanut butter, and dog and cat food.

Other items that will be collected include boys’ underwear, sanitary pads, clothing and stationery.
