Pirates hockey team lose against UJ

The Pirates hockey team came up against the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in their second fixture of the season. The match was played at the Linden Hoërskool on May 8. It was a tough match-up between both sides, but UJ came out on top beating the Pirates hockey team 5–0.

It was a tough match-up between both sides, but UJ came out on top beating the Pirates hockey team 5–0. Pirates fought with everything they had but could not break through the UJ ladies’ defence.

“Pirates love to play tough fixtures such as this one as we have only recently been added back into the Southern Gauteng Hockey Association Premier League and are very excited for the rest of the season,” said Pirates vice-chair Michele Butcher.
