Radley Private School staff give back to the community

Find out how staff members from a local primary school spent their 67 minutes for Mandela Day.

In honour of Nelson Mandela, who is celebrated each year on July 18, the staff of Radley Primary Private School gathered with the hope of making a difference in their community on this special day.

Radley Primary Private School staff spent their 67 minutes honouring Nelson Mandela by making sandwiches for the less fortunate. They managed to make over 100 sandwiches, then made their way to Malibongwe Drive and handed them out.

Principal Charne De Gouveia said, “As an entrepreneurial school, it is important to build up and give back to our community. As educator guides (teachers), it is important to model responsible, caring, confident and well-rounded students.”

In closing, she suggested there is no better way to do this than leading by example.
