This skilled and creative female line-up includes Yanga Mjoli, Bomi Shinga and Tanya Olckers. Mjoli is a 5FM presenter, originally from Mpumalanga, who is studying psychology and communications. Shinga refers to herself as a ‘failed slay queen’ who often talks about her adventures in the dating sphere and life in general. Newcomer Olckers, who goes by Tamski, started performing comedy at the age of 49 after a friend dared her to perform comedy on stage.

Residents are invited to come and share a laugh during Women’s Month at the Young Rebel Recording Studio at Ferndale on Republic (above Food Lovers Market) from 19:30 on August 4.

Young Rebel Recording Studio also hosts an open mic for musicians once a month and provides recording facilities for young artists. The venue also holds music and singing lessons, improv classes, and podcast production and operates as a small event venue.
