PHOLA Psychological Organisation joins forces to raise awareness on World Mental Health Day
Thanks to pop-ups in various places in Randburg on World Mental Health Day, the NPO continued to make mental health a priority for all.
PHOLA Psychological Organisation’s team of skilled workers offered their help to members of the Randburg community in honour of World Mental Health Day on October 10.
Every year on October 10, World Mental Health Day is recognised around the globe. Communities and organisations come together to spread mental health awareness and ensure that it is taken as seriously as people’s physical health.
Carren Liandor the communication officer for PHOLA Psychological Organisation said the mental health organisation was established to respond to the effects of hardships and trauma in the lives of children, adolescents, women, men, couples, families, and workers in communities.
Placed around different spots in Randburg like Strydom Park, the PowerSave parking lot in Randburg CBD, and the Sasol garage in North Riding the PHOLA Psychological Organisation spent their day educating the community on mental health as well as the social stigma around mental health.
PHOLA Psychological Organisation is a non-profit organisation (NPO) based in Ferndale that provides mental health care intervention, psychological support, and therapeutic services, especially to women and children. The NPO also provides mobile services in communities such as Zandspruit, Cosmo City, and surrounds.
