Sandton Chefs Circle donates toys, books and clothes to St. Laurence Children’s Haven

Sandton Chefs Circle held lunch to celebrate the St Laurence Children's Haven and hand over their toys, books and items of clothing collected during the year.

HTA School of Culinary Art in Randburg hosted the Sandton Chefs Circle (SCC) lunch on December 9.

The SCC has been going for over nine years – the most recent lunch was the 49th. The Sandton Chefs Circle is a group of chefs connecting for a cause. Over 2023 the SCC has been collecting toys, books and items of clothing for their nominated charity, St Laurence Children’s Haven, to be handed over to them at the SCC’s last lunch.

The St Laurence Children’s Haven and kids were invited to enjoy a fun-filled day with treats, sweets, jumping castle and supervised swimming pool among other small fun activities after which they all got to choose one toy or book with the remaining to be dropped off at their premises.

This particular Sandton Chefs Circle lunch was special not only with St Laurence Children’s Haven in attendance but also, they were joined by the Hotel and Hospitality general managers of greater Johannesburg for this day of celebration. The GM’s lunch has been running for over 27 years and connect for similar causes.
