The Randburg Sun visited the school in the afternoon to see if the Grade 1s survived their first day at school. It was all smiles as the youngsters awaited to be picked up by their parents.

Grade 1 teacher Michelle Bester explained what the Grade 1 learners did for the day. “They started with building activities, we did dominos, and they drew pictures of themselves that we going to put up for the whole year. They had an outdoor play and a maths quiz. We had an amazing day today and they had so much fun.”

She added that the children were good and well-mannered. ” They listened to me and it’s going to be a good 2023.”
