A summer vibe and carnival spirit prevailed at Curro Aurora’s Family Fun Day.

This event was especially for the learners of the pre-school and their families. Close to 550 people descended on the grounds in Sundowner for carnival games and delicious food.
The head of the preschool, Angie Bezuidenhout came up with the idea at the start of the year. To create a platform to build relationships while getting to know each other in the parenting community.

Marketing coordinator at the school, Mageshree Tandree said there was much excitement as the little ones sprayed their hair different colours and played different sports.
“The jumping castles and water slides kept many children and their parents slipping and sliding,” Tandree said.

“The highlight of the day was the dunk tank. What extreme fun to dunk your teacher and some eager dads too.”

She added that when planning for the day, safety was the number one priority with medics on site and bottles of sunblock spread across the preschool campus.

“The parents delighted in seeing their children in their happy and safe place, playing with their friends. The parents mingled, and the community came together. Preschool is not just about what happens in the classroom, it is the love felt from their teachers, feeling safe and knowing that each child is part of an amazing community.”
