Randburg FC collects maximum points against TS Galaxy
TS Galaxy visited Randburg Football club on a GDL U19 game and drops points as they were dominated by the home side.
Beautiful football, well-executed goals, and some moments of individual brilliance were on display at the Randburg Sports Complex when Randburg FC locked horns with TS Galaxy (The Rockets) in a Gauteng Development League (GDL) U19 match that left home fans craving more.
Randburg FC made sure all points remain at home as they put three passed The Rockets to clinch a 3-0 victory.

The win was a confidence booster for Randburg FC as they look to climb up the log ladder from seventh position.
Randburg FC U19 coach Paul Habib said that they looking to finish in the top four of the log table.

“It was a very competitive game. During the first 20 minutes, either team could’ve scored. We tried to keep the ball as best as we could. They are a very good team but we wanted to keep them on the back foot. For us it is about being better in every game and competing for the top four will be good,” said Habib.

Randburg shot stopper Thandolwami Mthethwa made some big saves in the first 20 minutes of the game. It was back-to-back attacks approaching half time with both teams creating big chances.

Olwethu Khumalo broke the deadlock and scored the first goal of the match on the stroke of halftime.
The Rockets made two early substitutions in the second half trying to chase and get an early equaliser. However Khumalo struck again to double the lead for the Randburg side in 55 minutes and got his second goal for the day.
The Rockets pushed hard but struggled to unlock the home team’s solid defence.

Sabatha Ndietyana put the final nail in the coffin with the third goal.
Khumalo said, “It was not easy, but we fought hard. The previous two games we were not our best but we worked hard. I scored good goals and thanks to my teammates for putting me in those positions.”
TS Galaxy coach Thembinkosi Matholengwe said that his side gave a good performance despite the loss.

“It was a good and interesting game, they have a lot of quality. Credit to them. They made it difficult for us. I will take the good performance we had and look forward to our next game.”
