The vibe was electric all day long at the Parktown Centenary Family Fun Day thanks to a huge variety of live music and entertainment and countless market stalls.

Old Parktonian Sports Club was abuzz on August 12, as the Parktown boys’ and girls’ high schools – along with all their family and friends – paid tribute to 100 years of education and school pride.

Every performance by the boys’ band or girls’ orchestra was extremely well received, while James Deacon also brought the vibe to new levels each time he took the stage.

Families tried their hands at padel tennis, 5-a-side soccer, golf at the Swing Shack, and e-gaming and there was a roving ‘minute-to-mingle’ for visitors to connect in the market area.

Jumping castles kept the youngest busy in the kiddies’ play area for hours while adults could spend time browsing the artisanal market or relaxing in the beer garden.
