Trinityhouse represented well at the chess olympiad

Davida Strong earned an invite to participate at the African Chess Championship in Cairo.

Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge learner Davida Strong participated in the FIDE World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad 2023 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The tournament was held at the High-Tech Campus Eindhoven, the smartest square kilometre in Europe.

This year’s edition of the olympiad was the strongest in chess history, with 63 teams from over 50 countries competing. Despite playing against higher-rated male opponents from eight different countries; strong won four of her eight games.

Moreover, she was also invited to participate in the U16 girls’ division of the African Youth Chess Championships 2023, held in Cairo, Egypt.
