Leaders were encouraged to put others first and lead by example at all times. The leaders will not sideline their own individuality, goals and dreams, they were encouraged to put others first and assist other learners to the best of their abilities.

The young leaders were asked how they feel about being elected and what being a leader mean to them. This is what they had to say….

Head girl Paballo Taule:
Being a leader is exciting and it means that you must lead by example, help the teachers and the learners and set a good example.

I feel very happy and nervous, but I am ready to take on the responsibility. Being a leader means you should set an example to other learners, get good grades in academics and show good leadership.
Sameer Johns:
It feels awesome to be chosen. I am super excited; I can’t wait to be a brilliant deputy head boy. Being a leader to me means that you have people looking up to you and you need to make sure that they are okay.
Ande Ncube:
Being a leader comes with a lot of responsibilities because at school all eyes are on you and not every leader needs to have a blazer or cape a true leader is a leader behind closed doors.
