Saint Sports Festival celebrates 40 years
The festival is a celebration of sport, camaraderie and enjoyment by approximately 2,500 participants and more than 50,000 spectators who visit the campus over the two weekends.

St Stithian’s held their annual Saints Sports Festival a much-loved and highly anticipated event on the college calendar. This year – the iconic event celebrates its 40th year.


This year the college theme was One4All All4One. This festival embodies this in every way, a celebration of the individual, and the team and the opportunity to witness the joy of the participants doing what they love best. Saints SportsFest is the largest school sports festival of its kind. The campus fields, courts and astros are filled with happy and fulfilled students.


The 2024 edition of the event ran over two consecutive weekends and began with the Prep Festival which ran from March 21 to 23 followed by the College Festival which will (in line with its history) run over the Easter weekend on March 27, 28, 30 and April 1. The Festival was jam-packed, offering something for everyone to enjoy.


Prep Festival, welcomed over 1 400 participants, made up of over 60 teams from over 70 schools. For the College Festival, over 1 100 participants made up of over 80 teams representing more than 85 schools.


The Prep Festival schools competed in rugby, squash, tennis and netball in this year’s edition and welcomed the Grade 2 children from Junior Prep into the Festival where they played inter-house hockey. Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy entered both a girls’ and boys’ football team.
