St Stithians College honours their staff and learners

Local school acknowledged all of the teachers, parents, and students who had and are still serving as representatives of the nation in various capacities.

St Stithians College honoured staff members and learners who were representing South Africa on National Representation Day during Heritage Month.

Annie Fyfe-Hitchings, communications manager, said that being chosen to represent your country is the ultimate dream of so many athletes and is an extremely proud and prestigious achievement for individuals, their families and the college.

“As part of our Heritage Month celebrations, many of our Saints who have achieved national representation level joined together for a celebratory.

“It is quite remarkable to see how many current Saints staff and students have represented their country with pride. Not everyone was able to join us and we also applaud them too – from speed climbing to swimming, rowing to power lifting, judo to water polo, dance to cricket and many more, an incredible feat.”

She concluded that their national representation included two sets of siblings, two sets of fathers and sons and one staff couple. “Just incredible; we celebrated them #OneAndAll.”
