Dada Morero is the new Joburg mayor
This is the second time that Morero will be the mayor of the City.
Johannesburg City Council has announced that Dada Morero is the new mayor of the City.

This follows Al Jama-ah‘s Kabelo Gwamanda’s resignation on August 13.

Morero was elected and sworn in at the 30th extraordinary council meeting of the City of Johannesburg on August 16, at the Constance Bapela Council Chamber, Metropolitan Centre in Braamfontein.
Morero is the City’s Finance MMC and is also Joburg ANC regional chairperson. In 2022 he was elected as mayor but only served 25 days before he was removed.
