War cries and splashing wins defines Rand Park High’s interhouse swimming gala

Randpark High School’s annual interhouse swimming gala was a thrilling celebration of talent, teamwork, and school spirit as learners and educators made a splash in a day filled with excitement and camaraderie. The event saw the school’s four houses Bishop, Martin, Lourie, and Shrike, go head-to-head in a series of nail-biting individual and relay races.

Emerging victorious, Bishop House claimed not only the coveted trophy for overall performance but also the Spirit Award, thanks to their electrifying war cries and unyielding enthusiasm. Their dominance extended to the teachers’ relay race, where they secured a crowd-pleasing victory to thunderous applause from learners and staff alike.

The gala also celebrated individual excellence, with standout swimmers recognised for their remarkable performances. Deputy principal for sport Reynier Coertzen presented the prestigious individual awards to the following learners:

Junior Victor Ludorum: Deacan Harvey.
Junior Victrix Ludorum: Suraiya Harris.
Senior Victor Ludorum: Danyaal Harris.
Senior Victrix Ludorum: Tayla Dowie & Franki Theron.
