The Valentine’s Market at Sundowner Plaza created a heartwarming atmosphere, offering unique crafts, wellness products, and food while fostering small business growth in the community.

The Sundowner Plaza came alive on February 8 as the Golden Years Social Club and The Second Chance Charity hosted a vibrant Valentine’s Market.
The event provided a platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and products in a warm, community-driven atmosphere.

Visitors were treated to various unique offerings, including handcrafted jewellery, stylish clothing, and intricate crafts. Food lovers indulged in delicious treats, while wellness enthusiasts enjoyed on-the-spot massages, aromatherapy for animals, and specialised cannabis care products.
Organiser Peyton Patchappen described the market as a phenomenal success, with vendors receiving strong support from attendees. “It was an honour to witness small businesses being uplifted. The energy was incredible and the kindness of the people involved truly made it special.”
The market not only celebrated the Valentine’s Day spirit but also highlighted the importance of community-driven initiatives in supporting local businesses. With such a positive response, the Golden Years Social Club and The Second Chance Charity hope to host more events in the future to provide continued opportunities for small enterprises to grow.
