Du Toit explained that, while the match featured some incredible individual performances, their triumph was only possible because of the collective effort, on and off the field.
Despite the season stretching out longer than usual, and a number of players heading overseas to play in England, their incredible squad depth allowed them to stay competitive throughout. “Reaching the final was a true team achievement. Special thanks must go to the many players who contributed throughout the campaign, even if they weren’t in the final. It was a memorable campaign – one marked, not just by on-field brilliance, but by the strength and unity of our entire squad and support system.”

He added that, from the start, they were backed by an outstanding coaching team – Richard Wood and Jethro Mawudzi – alongside a strong senior leadership group that continues to nurture and guide their young talent. “Our journey was also made easier thanks to the world-class facilities at Old Parks, maintained meticulously by our ground staff, who ensure we always have the best surfaces to train and compete on.”
