Woman arrested for drug possession in Blairgowrie

Investigations are still ongoing, and one suspect has been arrested for drugs in Blairgowrie.

Sergeant Takalani Sibiya, the communication officer at Linden Police Station, confirmed that a female suspect was arrested and detained for possession of drugs in Blairgowrie.
Sibiya said that the Linden police were contacted on June 9 by a concerned citizen who suspected illegal activities at a house in Blairgowrie.

“The Vispol commander, Steve Titus, conducted observations on the house and noticed that several delivery vehicles, including bikes, were fetching and delivering packages to the property.”

The police called in the Dog Unit, who raided the property and found the woman packaging drugs in packets in one of the rented rooms.

“She claimed that she was just a worker who was doing the packing. The drugs found included crystal meth, magic mushrooms, etc and prescribed scheduled medication were also confiscated.”

The tenant who is renting the room on the property was not found, and police are still investigating.
