Old Parks U16 cruise to 4–0 victory

Old Parks U16 showed class and control as they beat Florida Albion 4–0 at home, with solid teamwork and set-piece brilliance earning the victory.

Old Parks FC U16 continued their impressive run with a dominant 4–0 win over Florida Albion U16.

The hosts controlled possession from the start, dictating the game’s pace. Mudiwa Zhoya opened the scoring with a well-placed header from a corner. Captain Thapelo Maseko then doubled the lead after a neat team move, sending Old Parks into halftime firmly in control.

Florida Albion came out with more urgency after the break but couldn’t convert their chances. Maseko struck again from another corner to make it 3–0 before Old Parks sealed the match with a fourth goal.

Despite the result, Old Parks head coach Masego Maphange said he wasn’t pleased with the first-half performance.

“Our passing was sloppy, and the intensity was low, but exams disrupted training,” he said. “The second half was better.”

Maseko also acknowledged the impact of exams but praised his team’s fight. “We weren’t at our sharpest, but we stayed solid. It was great to keep a clean sheet and score two on my return.”

Florida Albion coach Dennis Mokoena said his side lacked energy. “We looked flat. It’s a mindset thing, and we need to create and finish more chances.”

Old Parks remain among the top contenders in the league, while Florida Albion will be looking to regroup and respond in their upcoming fixtures.
