A white Renault Clio caught fire at the intersection of Beyers Naudé Drive and Jim Fouché Road in Randburg this morning. No injuries were reported.

A white Renault Clio caught fire at the intersection of Beyers Naudé Drive and Jim Fouché Road in Randburg on Wednesday morning, August 6.

The incident was reported at 08:06. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded quickly and extinguished the flames before they could spread or cause further damage. No injuries were reported.

Xolile Khumalo, spokesperson for EMS, confirmed the fire was brought under control shortly after their arrival. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.

The burning vehicle caused minor traffic delays during the morning rush, with one lane briefly closed. Traffic has since returned to normal.

The driver of the Renault Clio reportedly managed to exit the car without injury. Authorities are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
