Residents in Ward 102 are encouraged to make their way to the voting stations before the by-election polls close at 21:00

Residents of Ward 102 in Randburg are urged to head to their voting stations today as the by-election gets underway, with polling venues set to close at 21:00.

The ward, which falls under the City of Johannesburg, is holding the by-election to fill a vacant council seat. Voting stations opened early this morning and have seen a steady flow of residents throughout the day.
So far, no incidents have been reported by Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) officials at any of the voting stations in the ward.

Ward 102 covers several suburban communities in Johannesburg North, where service delivery, infrastructure maintenance, water supply, and community safety remain pressing issues. Political parties have been actively campaigning in recent weeks, encouraging residents to participate.
