Fresh, Home-Made Pasta at Shop No. 4, The Carreira Centre. Every love story has its flavour — ours just happens to taste like pasta.
Mandy and I first met while working side by side in a busy restaurant kitchen. Among the sounds of sizzling pans and the aroma of fresh herbs, we discovered not only our shared passion for food, but for each other. Nine years later, with three wonderful kids and a dream that’s been years in the making, we’re proud to introduce Mandy’s Pastas — our own little slice of pasta heaven.
Our journey began during the lockdown of 2020, when a friend taught us the craft of making pasta from scratch. What started as a simple home project quickly grew into something much bigger — a passion for quality ingredients, traditional methods, and the joy of sharing food made with heart. Before long, we were delivering our handmade pasta to friends and neighbours, and the idea for Mandy’s Pastas was born.
Now, five years later, that dream has found its home at The Carreira Centre — a place close to our hearts and part of our community. Here, we create and sell a variety of fresh, hand-made pasta, ready for you to take home and cook your way. From silky fettuccine to pillowy ravioli, every batch is made with care, using simple, honest ingredients and traditional techniques.
Our philosophy is rooted in authenticity: the people who make the pasta are the same people who sell it. We believe in creating not just jobs, but opportunities — helping others learn a timeless craft and build a meaningful profession in the world of fresh, local food.
Looking ahead, we hope to bring the same quality and dedication to more parts of South Africa, making fresh pasta a household favourite across the country. But no matter how far we grow, The Carreira Centre will always be home — the place where it all began.
