3 men found with firearms, house burglary implements in Bordeaux
Randburg Police Station commander commends officers for their work that led to the arrest.
Three men between the ages of 37 and 45 are expected to appear soon in Randburg Magistrate’s Court to face charges of possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition and house burglary implements.

Randburg police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja said the men were arrested following information received about them, and they were found in Bordeaux. “It is alleged that on May 10 at about 14:00, the crime intelligence unit received information about the suspects who [were] about to commit a crime in Randburg policing area,” Maja said.
Officers responded and found the suspects in a vehicle on Main Street, Bordeaux. “The vehicle was stopped and [a] search conducted, whereby the suspects were found in possession of two unlicensed firearms, ammunition and breaking implements.”

Maja said they were arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and looking at whether the group was also involved in robberies elsewhere in Gauteng. Randburg Police Station commander, Brigadier Michelle Jones congratulated the members involved and applauded them for their work that led to the arrests.
