Community gathers for FOOLS’ R10 book sale

The Friends of Olivedale Library (FOOLS) held their highly anticipated R10 book sale on November 29 at the Olivedale Library, offering an impressive selection of books at pocket-friendly prices, with attendees praising the initiative for its affordability and community impact.

The sale featured donated books spanning various genres, catering to readers of all ages and interests. By providing low-cost access to literature, the event aimed to foster a love for reading while also raising funds for the library’s development and community programmes. Organisers emphasised that proceeds from the sale will support upgrades to the library’s resources and services, benefiting the wider community.

“It’s never been busy but people have been coming in,” said FOOLS secretary Ellenor Woodman.
