Curro Aurora welcomes youngest class with joy

Curro Aurora recently hosted a memorable Grade 1 orientation day, marking the beginning of an exciting educational journey for its youngest learners.

The event, held just before the official start of the school year, was designed to familiarise the children and their families with the school’s nurturing environment.

The day began with a heartwarming bell-ringing ceremony, a cherished tradition symbolising new beginnings. The sound of the bell echoed through the school grounds as parents proudly watched their children take their first steps into primary school life.

Teachers and staff warmly greeted the learners upon arrival, creating an atmosphere of excitement and reassurance. The children had the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and interact with their peers. They also participated in a series of engaging activities to help them settle into their new environment.

During the half-day orientation, the learners spent some time in the classroom, experiencing what a typical day at Curro Aurora would be like. Short lessons and fun activities gave them a taste of the learning adventures ahead, easing any first-day jitters.

Simultaneously, parents attended an orientation session where they were introduced to the school’s policies, expectations, and daily routines. This session, often referred to as a ‘court day,’ provided valuable insights and ensured that families felt confident in supporting their children’s transition to primary school.
