Pikitup finally acknowledges fatal accident in Bordeaux
Pikitup have broken their silence following an accident involving one of their trucks over a week ago, in which a woman died.
Muzi Mkhwanazi, spokesperson for Pikitup, has acknowledged that the entity is aware of the truck accident that killed a woman in Bordeaux on February 26.
According to the entity the police have taken over and are investigating the matter. “All I can say at this time is that we sympathise with the family of the deceased and offer our deepest condolences to them.”

Lorimer suspects the city may be withholding information to avoid reputational damage or financial liability. Councillors have vowed to continue seeking answers from the City of Johannesburg.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed that a case of culpable homicide has been opened. He said that officers had arrived on the scene to find the woman trapped under the truck. She was declared dead on site.
