Cosmo Kings extend unbeaten streak
League leaders Cosmo Kings maintain top spot in the Cosmo City U15 league with a 4–1 win over Cosmo City Warriors.
Cosmo Kings showed why they are top of the Cosmo City U15 league as they powered to a 4–1 victory over Cosmo City Warriors this weekend.
The game began evenly, with both sides pressing hard. Warriors held their own against the league leaders, until a turning point midway through the match. With the score 1–1, Warriors were reduced to ten men after a red card. From there, Kings took full control, punishing their opponents with three more goals to seal a convincing win.

Despite the result, Warriors coach Sandiso Sibanda praised his young team’s spirit. “The boys gave a good account of themselves versus a very tough opponent. We conceded an early goal which unsettled us, but I am proud of the grit and mental strength the boys showed under pressure.”
Sibanda, whose side now sits in seventh place on the log, emphasised that development is the main goal. “We believe in tactical discipline and mastering football basics. In the next game, we’ll work on our defensive marking and minimising mistakes at the back. Our target is to keep all our teams, from U11 to U17, in the top eight, come the end of the season. For us, it’s about building better players and better citizens.”
Kings, on the other hand, strengthened their hold on first place. Defensive midfielder Katlego Miya, who both scored and set up a goal, admitted it wasn’t the team’s best showing, despite the scoreline. “Today, we were not playing great. We were not ourselves, but we knew it was going to happen.”
He added that the Warriors’ red card gave them the edge as he reflected on his own performance. “I scored one and got an assist, but it wasn’t convincing. Still, we are number one and we want to win the league.”
Kings remain unbeaten after 12 matches, and their ambitions are clear. With the title race heating up, they remain the team to beat in the league.
