Grandparents treated like royalty at the King’s School Robin Hills

The King's School Robin Hills held a successful pre-primary grandparents’ tea and concert.

A morning matinee was the order of the day for the doting grandparents of the King’s School Robin Hills, who, with sheer delight, enjoyed being treated like royalty by their eager-to-please little princes and princesses.

The theatrical talents of the pre-primary school really set the tone, as they showcased, Wolfie’s Big Change. And while these grandparents looked up to the stage with pride, it was the Grade 7s who made sure their appetites were catered to, as they served tea and light finger foods.

Alison Sigerson, pre-primary principal, explained that the grandparents were VIPs on the day. They came to sit, enjoy some eats, and get to meet other grandparents.

“We did a concert. It was all about God’s grace, and I think that it went really well. The grandparents enjoyed their time together, and the children just absolutely shone. It was amazing.”

She added that the little ones had been practising this whole term, about 10 weeks, with two practices a week.

“There was a lot of practising, and the teachers organised it all. The children learnt their words, and it was beautiful. Then, we also had the Grade fives come and serve tea, teaching them how to be servant-hearted. That is one of our core values… Servanthood.”
