Customers are urged to always treat their electricity supply points as live, as the supply may be restored at any time. “During an outage, customers are advised to unplug all appliances to prevent inrush current when the power supply is restored,” said Mangena. “This minimises the risk of network disruptions and ensures a continuous electricity supply.”

Other planned maintenance:

Bordeaux substation: Scheduled for October 21 to 22. The interruption will take place from 23:00 (Tuesday evening) until 05:00 (Wednesday morning), affecting Bordeaux and Blairgowrie.
