Plans are well underway, and excitement is in the air as the Randpark Ridge Village Association (RRVA) prepares to host its annual Halloween Night Market.

The market layout is confirmed, traders are ready, and residents are gearing up to decorate their homes and hand out treats. The night market will take place on October 25 from 13:00 to 19:00 at 93 Randpark Drive, a local shopping spot.

Nerisha Govender of RRVA explained that residents can look forward to an afternoon and evening filled with fun, family, and community spirit. The market will bring together local traders, food stalls, live entertainment, and plenty of spooky fun for all ages.

“It’s not just a market—it’s a neighbourhood celebration where residents can meet, mingle, and enjoy a relaxed day out in the heart of Randpark Ridge. Expect delicious food, handmade crafts, live music, a few surprises for the little ones, and, of course, lots of Halloween flair.”

The RRVA market has something special at its heart—the Wishing Tree Initiative. Weeks before the market, a Wishing Tree was put up, allowing local children to hang wishes for more than just candy. Many wished for simple, meaningful things, such as school shoes, clothing, and even an oxygen machine, which has already been delivered thanks to the generosity of residents.

Govender said that this initiative has brought a wonderful sense of unity and compassion to the community. “It’s this blend of festive fun and heartfelt giving that makes the RRVA Halloween Night Market truly special. It is for everyone—families, kids, neighbours, and anyone who loves a good community event. It is family-friendly, with activities for children and plenty for adults to enjoy too.”
