Suspects rob Cell C store at Cresta Shopping Centre
Two suspects robbed a cellphone store on Sunday morning, escaping with several new cellphones before police and security arrived.
Two suspects robbed the Cell C shop at Cresta Shopping Centre on Sunday morning (November 2), getting away with several new cellphones.
According to information received, the suspects entered the store at around 09:25. One of them allegedly claimed to have a firearm and ordered the staff into a back office, while another suspect went into the stockroom and took about eight brand-new cellphones.

The suspects left the shop on foot at around 09:30.
SCP Security said they were alerted to the robbery and quickly dispatched multiple vehicles to the scene, arriving within minutes.
Witnesses told security officers that although one of the suspects claimed to have a firearm, no weapon was seen during the robbery. No one was injured.
There were also reports of gunshots being fired at the mall, but these were later confirmed to be false.
Linden SAPS attended the scene and is investigating the case.

SCP Security said that they will continue to maintain a strong presence in the Cresta area to ensure the safety of shoppers and businesses.
At the time of publication, the value of the stolen goods had not yet been confirmed.
