Police respond to incident at Cresta Mall
A store inside Cresta Mall was declared a crime scene on Tuesday morning, prompting police and security to cordon off the area during investigations.
Police and security personnel responded to a reported crime scene at a store inside Cresta Mall in Randburg on Tuesday morning, November 11.
According to an alert issued by the Gauteng Provincial Joint Operations Centre (JOC), the incident occurred at around 09:35. Security officers were on scene shortly after and assisted in securing the affected area.

Mall visitors were advised to avoid cordoned-off sections while police carried out investigations.
When contacted for comment, Cresta Mall’s control and security detail stated that they could not comment on the matter, describing it as a ‘private issue.’

SCP Security confirmed the alert and urged the public to share information only from official sources.
At the time of publication, authorities had not released further details about the nature of the incident.
