ETA College students beat the heat at Randburg sports complex
Students at ETA College Johannesburg swapped lecture halls for sunshine and water games as the SRC hosted its annual spring day at Diggers Rugby Stadium.
Students at ETA College in Johannesburg enjoyed a day of sunshine, water games and music as the college’s student representative council (SRC) hosted its annual spring day at Diggers Rugby Stadium, part of the Randburg Sports Complex.

The event, organised for the campus to unwind and have fun, saw students soaked from head to toe as they took part in water-based games throughout the day.
Third-year sports, exercise and leisure student Abigail Dludla said she had not expected to get quite so wet. “I’m enjoying it very much because I didn’t plan to even get wet today,” said Dludla. “Now I’m the wettest out of everyone. So no, it’s been a calm day. The weather’s nice. Vibes are great.”
SRC member Kelebogile Seopa, who studies at the sports-focused institution, said student attendance this year had exceeded expectations. “As you can see, the students are outside having fun. They’re doing the most.

“It’s been a great event. We didn’t expect such a huge turnout. The turnout is big this year compared to last year, and we’re very happy that slowly but surely it’s growing,” she said.
The spring day forms part of ETA College’s calendar of student activities, giving students a break from academic pressures while building a sense of community on campus.
