Young dancers from Hoërskool Randburg win medals galore and SA colours

Janique Kruger and Arnel Swart do their school and themselves proud with 11 medals between them.

Two Hoërskool Randburg learners have qualified for their South African colours for dancing after participating in an international competition.

Arnel Swart wins three medals in the Stars of the Universe competition.

The virtual event, Stars of the Universe – Performing Arts International Cup presented by Talent Africa, saw Janique Kruger win eight medals in the 12 to 14 age group.

These included the following categories:

Arnel Swart does her school proud.
  • Solo Lyrical: Gold
  • Solo Contemporary: Gold
  • Solo Jazz: Gold
  • Solo Hip Hop: Gold
  • Ballet Solo: Gold
  • Solo Musical Theatre (dance only): Gold
  • Solo Musical Theatre (singing as well as dancing): Silver
  • Solo Tap: Silver.

Grade 10 learner Arnel Swart participated in the age group 15 to 18 and won medals in the following categories:
