Two weeks ago I donated a large number of children’s books to the Charity Shoppe in the Jukskei Park centre.
Unfortunately I also gave away the books I actually had put aside to keep. I am appealing to the person who bought Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, which was inscribed with a child’s name and given by her school for, I think, top place in the class that year (late fifties was about the date).
This book is of great sentimental value and, while there were other books I wish I hadn’t given away in error, losing this particular book hurts me most. I would be happy to swop it for a brand new edition of Black Beauty.
